Our company has been successfully working for several years on thermal insulation solutions for timber buildings – Canadian log houses, log cabins, and wooden houses. We offer several types of sealing applications. These have been successfully used in the construction of several dozen wooden houses of various types in Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, and more in recent years.
Sealing for Timber Buildings
Canadian Log Houses
for inter-beam insulation in the construction of Canadian log houses, we have developed special sealing tapes – known as TK – sealing components.
The TK – sealing component (profile) serves as a seal for Canadian log houses. It ensures long-term airtight sealing of the beams in the timber structure, thereby reducing thermal losses of the entire building. Unlike other sealing methods, the TK profile has foam strips on the sides that ensure the tightness of the beam connections even during the settling of the new building. The bottom connecting strip is made from vapor-permeable foil, and the internal space of the TK profile is filled with thermal insulation made of sheep wool. Installing the TK profile is easy, and compared to other sealing methods, it reduces the overall construction time of the house. No protective equipment is required during handling, unlike mineral wool. The size – width of the TK profile is graduated according to the diameter – width of the groove of the logs used.
